Guide to Prescriptions

You can order your repeat medication in several ways:

• Online 
• Over the counter at either surgery
• By post
• By Fax (Rush Hill: 01225 489999 / Weston: 01225 827639)

We cannot accept phone requests

Online Prescription Requests

We have an integrated on-line facility that allows you to request repeat medicines on-line. You will need a username and password to use this service, please ask the receptionist if you would like to make use of this facility. For reasons of confidentiality, we need to hand the username and password to you in person, and you will need to show evidence of your identification.

Requesting Repeat Medication

If you are on a repeat medication your doctor will have authorised several repeat scripts until a review is needed.

When you come to the end of your supply we would be grateful if you could let the surgery know in good time.

This allows us to issue a further script that can either be collected or sent to a pharmacy.

For reasons of clinical safety, we are only able to accept request for repeat medicines in writing or via the on-line requesting service. If you opt to make your request in writing, it may be easiest to use the white right side of  your previous prescription and tick the required items. We are also able to accept faxed requests.

Please note that our Receptionists are unable to accept requests for medicines over the telephone.

Our doctors very carefully monitor your repeat medication, and we ensure that your health is monitored at  regular intervals. You may at times be advised on the white right hand side of your prescription that you need  to come in to the surgery for health checks, reviews or tests such as blood tests.

Please ensure that you follow these requests and make any advised appointments, as we may not be  able to issue further prescriptions without these important reviews or tests.

Urgent Prescriptions

We would be grateful if you could collect urgent prescriptions from the surgery directly.
It usually requires one day for our local pharmacists to collect the prescription.
We are only able to fax urgent prescriptions to local chemists. Thank you.

The Bath Pharmacy Company

The practice is one of the founding members of The Bath Pharmacy Company.

We can arrange for your medication to be delivered to you directly at home or collect from us at the practice.

The Bath Pharmacy Company is one of various pharmacies to whom we can send your prescription.
